<blockquote>Now why would you want to do such a thing as shoot in JPG and then hope to have The One Single Best Custom Curve that will fix all your Brightness and Contrast and Exposure problems ?

It can't be done.

Shoot in RAW.

Dear, I`m just have D60, I`ve tried to edit my D60 with custom curves, my question is, will the custom curves I applied will be permanently act or replace my D60 default curves ? or it just as additional curves instead of my D60`s primary curves.

This is probably a dumb question but if one were to use a custom curve even when shooting RAW could one get a lower highlight contrast thus cutting the chances of blowing highlights beyond retrieval. Or get a lower contrast than the -2 low contrast setting for both highlights and shadows then readjusting in PP. Or is this a moot point as RAW is RAW and nothing more can be achieved?
